Being based in the state of South Carolina, we have the ability to partner with local farms to acquire locally farmed, and harvested hemp! Through our network of local growers, The Blessed Beard found a partner in the hemp farming community, and has since developed a wholly natural, symphonically aromatic CBD salve!

In no way does The Blessed Beard claim that CBD products will cure any ailments, or remove any symptoms. The information on this page is a survey of medical websites, and client feedback on the CBD salves they have used from The Blessed Beard.

What IS CBD? Why use it?

CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a chemical compound from the Cannabid sativa plant, otherwise known as the hemp plant. It's a naturally occurring substance that's used in products like skin care and edibles. Unlike its cousin, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the major active ingredient in marijuana, CBD is not psychoactive

While not approved by the FDA (with exception to Epidiolex), untold numbers of users have determined that CBD products have drastically made their lives better. While it is argued that most of CBD success stories are anecdotal, or done without serious research, the products have been reported to help in a wide variety of ways!

Many hear of CBD products, and the term "full spectrum" at the same time. Scientists have isolated over 100 cannabidiols when distilling hemp plants. Full spectrum products retain a portion of all the available cannabinoids in the host plant, with a majority of them being CBD. Essentially, this means that these products are top-notch, giving you the most natural "bang for your buck!" Here is a quick run down on what other cannabinoids are found in these salves:

Cannabidiol (CBD)

CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid is the most sought after for its wide range of daily uses, as described above!

Cannabigerol (CBG)

Another key cannabinoid, CBG, is the precursor to other cannabinoids (like CBD). It’s an essential compound, and research suggests it may have benefits of its own.

Cannabichromene (CBC)

CBC is another one of the six most abundant cannabinoids. However, you’ll usually only find small amounts of CBC in a full-spectrum product.

Tetrahydrocannabivarin (THCV)

Only found in tiny quantities in full-spectrum products. Less than .1% of the product will be THC

What Are "Concentrations?"

When we purchase pain meds, like Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen, we many times will recognize that certain bottles cost more while containing the same number of pills. How rude of them!! Well, there is a reason! The concentration of the more expensive bottle means you take less for a better, quicker effect. The same runs for CBD salve. Often, you will find salves for extraordinary high prices - odds are that salve has a high concentration.

This is where CBD products get tricky, and knowing the supplier means a whole heck of a lot. Seeing as The Blessed Beard gets our CBD oil straight from the farmer (Indigo Ridge Farms out of Lexington, SC) we can be 100% confident in the purity and concentration of our product. It is 3rd party tested to ensure quality!

Salve or Oil

Get some product out from the tin, or bottle, respectively. Warm it up in the palm of your hands. Doing this melts the salve, and prepares the oil for application.

Rub it in!

Wherever you wish to apply the CBD goodness, rub it firmly your skin. Rub excess into your hands, or wherever else. It absorbs naturally, so there is no need to wash your hands afterward!

Apply as needed

CBD products are non-addictive, and you cannot overdose on them. Apply topically where needed, as often as needed.  Apply a small amount at first to see needed amount.

So. I know you said wait a few days. But. I put the salve on about an hour after radiation. Within 20 or so minutes, it wasn't throbbing anymore. Just sore. That was impressive. Seriously. 2400mg completely took away the pain from radiation.

Using your 2400mg CBD salve has been a game changer for my migraines!

I like the CBD salve. I had some shoulder pain and neck pain last night, and when I went to bed I rubbed some on and it helped it within a matter of minutes.

I rubbed it into my bum knee and within minutes noticed it didn’t hurt going up and down stairs!
